DouglasMemorial Hospital in Fort Erie (approximately 10 minutes from Ridgeway by the Lake) is a 40 bed chronic care hospital with six short-stay acute care beds. It also houses the Urgent Care Centre which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for non-emergency illnesses and injuries.

Greater Niagara General Hospital (approximately 30 minutes from Ridgeway by the Lake) offers both in-patient and out-patient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department, general surgery, a geriatric assessment unit and an intensive care and step down unit.
