Meet Gail Reed Gail Reed, a former bookkeeper for a law
firm, spent well over 3 years searching for
the perfect adult lifestyle community. Having
been widowed for some 17 years Gail
wanted to settle in an intimate community where one
could walk to the grocery store or a café. She decided
Ridgeway by the Lake was the place for her after being
amazed by the model homes.
“These are the most luxurious homes for the money,” she
says. “And it was the designs of the homes that prompted
me to buy here.”
She cites specifics, like the large, oversized windows that
allow lots of light; the high quality finishes within the homes
and their energy efficiency. “Despite the high ceilings and
the large number of windows in my home, I find my home
very warm and my heating bills to be remarkably low.”
A big plus for Gail was the fact that Ridgeway by the
Lake is located only about 10 minutes from the Peace
Bridge and Buffalo. “My kids live in the U.S.,” Gail says.
“So it’s really easy for me to go visit them by flying out of
Buffalo International.”
What’s her favourite thing about living at Ridgeway by the
Lake? “I’d have to say that it’s the people who live here.
Everyone is really friendly and supportive and the fact that I am
single doesn’t keep me from being included in social events.
In fact, there are five or six single women living here.”
For Gail there’ve been a lot of surprises about living at
Ridgeway by the Lake and all of them have been good. “This
is a truly exciting, supportive community,”Gail says. “If you
need somebody, there’s someone there.” |
