Meet The Meyers
Uwe and Elsa Meyer loved their home built adjacent
to a golf course in Etobicoke, at the western end of
Toronto. That is until the neighbourhood started
changing with small old homes being torn down
to make way for monster houses that dwarfed the rest of
the neighbourhood.
“That’s when we knew it was time to move,” says Uwe, who
is half owner of a Tool & Die Company that builds molds for
injection molding machines in Mississauga serving the food
packaging and pharmaceutical industries. “We started looking
around for some place that was quieter and where the homes
were of good quality and unique design,” he recalls.
That’s how they happened to come upon Ridgeway by the
Lake, one of the Niagara Region’s most popular upscale adult
lifestyle communities. “We heard a commercial on a radio
station and decided to go have a look,” recalls Elsa. “We were
pleasantly surprised.”
The Meyers shopping list was extensive: they wanted a home
large enough to accommodate their exquisite oversized dining
room suite; they wanted a walk-out from their finished basement;
they wanted to live in a peaceful, friendly community. For the

“We love living here with our newfound friends and are delighted
to be close to entertainment venues like Casino Niagara and all
the wineries,” says Uwe. “And the convenience of the nearby
Buffalo Airport.”
The Meyers have undergone a change for the better at Ridgeway

pursue all their interests in gardening and cycling and they
