Meet The Klussmans
The Klussmans don’t look anything like pioneers,
but then, looks can be deceiving. Bill and Lila
Klussman are pioneers in the sense that they
were the first residents to move into their home
at Ridgeway by the Lake. And they became pioneers quite
by accident.
“We came down to Ridgeway from our home in Caledon to
visit friends,” says Lila. “And happened to see the model
homes here. We absolutely loved the quality and bought
from one of the plans.”
The Klussmans had been looking for a suitable adult
lifestyle community since Bill retired from one of the
major banks and spent the better part of two years visiting
various locations.
“For us moving here was a lot like coming home,” recalls
Bill. “Because this is the northern edge of the Carolinian
Forest and the landscape feels a lot like New Jersey, where I
grew up.”
“But it’s more than just the landscape,” Lila adds. “We are
particularly enamoured with the people who live here. This
is a close knit community that feels almost like a big family.”
As a banker, Bill has a great eye for value. “Homes like this are hard to come by at any price,” says Bill. “Every home here is almost custom built because people can change their home plans to suit their needs.”
Moving to Ridgeway by the Lake also gave Bill and Lila an added bonus: the friendliness of small town living. “It was a pleasant surprise to find that the retail and service people in Ridgeway were so friendly and accommodating,” says Lila. “Moving here was the right choice.” |
