Meet The Barbers
Gord and Kerry Barber consider themselves to
be very wealthy; not so much in a financial
sense, but in terms of their good fortune to be
living at Ridgeway by the Lake.Hailing originally
from Oakville where the couple lived in a four-level town
home, their move to Ridgeway by the Lake turned out to
be a matter of pure chance.
“We visited the Niagara Region for a lark,” Kerry recalls,
“and wound up touring the model homes at Ridgeway by
the Lake. It took no time at all for us to fall in love with
these homes.”
The Barbers had visited a number of other adult communities
west of the GTA but somehow none of these offered the
excitement they found in the Niagara Peninsula. “We really
like being in the heart of wine country and the proximity to
Buffalo is a big plus.We often go there to shop,” Kerry adds.
Gord, who continues to work as a sales agent and spends
some days on the road enjoys coming home where he and
Kerry engage in their interest in gardening. “The thing I
like particularly is how friendly everyone is,” Gord says.
“We got to know some people before we moved here
because we would come for the Spring Fling, so when we
did move it was a lot like coming home.”
Kerry agrees. “One of the things we like most about living
here is how everyone is so supportive. And everyone here
really likes to have fun.”
The Barbers are living proof that one doesn’t have to be rich to feel wealthy. All it took for them was a move to Ridgeway by the Lake. |
